Hey girls!
So tomorrow the big challenge is starting, so bring it on! I've made some updates on the challenge, because Cat commented and said that the "only fluids" isn't healthy, and I think she is right, and what is the point of doing it if it's not even healthy? So yeah I have changed a couple of the challenges, to make it the ultimate health challenge, that will hopefully make you healthier in the future.
First of all the 4 rules for every day:
1: No candy, cake or soda any day! 2: Start your morning by drinking a glass of water before breakfast. 3: No alcohol any day! 4: Eat only until your full every day.
And now the 15 challenges:
Day 1: Take a picture or write down everything you eat this day! - eat what you usually eat on a normal day, don't be healthier because of this! Because what we want to achieve with this challenge is to see how many unhealthy things you actually end up eating after all.
Day 2: Bake for school! - Find a healthy recipe on bread on the internet or if you already have one, and bake bread to make a healthy sandwich for a healthy lunch at school.
Day 3: Eat your six fruits/vegetables today! - You can just be honest, you don't really eat 6 pieces of fruit or vegetables a day now do you? No.. But today you will!
Day 4: Make yourself breakfast! - whether it's healthy banana pancakes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FA9Z7vvRIw), oatmeal (1 dl. oats and 2,5 dl. water and then heat it until it has the right feeling) or whatever you can make up.
Day 5: Eat your fish! - Eat something with fish in it! Anything as long as it contains fish.
Day 6: Think about everything you eat! - think about everything you put in your mouth today, and try to avoid sugar all day.
Day 7: Try a healthy new dish! - find a healthy recipe (either on the internet or in a book) that you've never tried before, and make it! Maybe you just found your new favorite meal? Make sure it's something with many veggies and protein.
Day 8: Make a healthy smoothie! - try to make a healthy smoothie for you and your friends or family. You can use berries, fruits and yoghurt, but remember no ice-cream or sugar, keep it healthy.
Day 9: Eat nuts! - Nuts are great for you, and a healthy amount of nuts would be around 40-60 grams or 2 handfuls a day. Although this is the healthy amount you probably don't usually get that many, but today you will. Go for almonds, walnuts or brazil nuts (these are the healthiest, but others can be just as good for you.) Just don't eat peanuts and say that they are good for you, cause they aren't!
Day 10: Make healthy snacks! - find recipes on the internet and use your imagination to create your own. Make 3-5 different kinds of snacks you can bring to school or eat at home instead of candy or chips.
Day 11: Drink 2 liters water! - concentrate on drinking your 2 liters water today. 2 liters is about the same as 8 cups.
Day 12: Vegetarian day! - you can't eat meat all day. You can individually decide if you can eat fish or not.
Day 13: Tea day! - Start the day of with a nice and healthy cup of green tea, you can bring it to school too if you have a cup that can hold it warm.
Day 14: Make yourself a salad! - Make a healthy delicious salad and bring it to school or enjoy it at home. You can put pasta, tuna, chicken, ham or whatever in to spice it up a bit.
Day 15: Take a picture or write down everything you eat this day! - Again eat whatever you like, whatever you feel like, now compare from the first challenge and see if you have some more healthy eating ways, after our challenge.
Okay so please join me with this challenge tomorrow, it's gonna be some much fun! I'll just post the challenge in here, like the recipe I find or the list of what I've been eating on the day! Have fun with it, and remember that you shouldn't quit eating.. that's not what I'm saying at all, eat until your full, but know when to stop so you don't overeat. Just have fun with it, and maybe drag a friend in to do it with you, this way you have someone to keep an eye on you.
Anyways I hope you'll join me!
Love,
M.E<3
